Like the appearance/style, good colour choices.
Had become fed up with the expense of replacing faulty/leaky electric kettles every year or so. Now using this kettle on the hob will also free up limited kitchen work surface.
However, just some words of warning - firstly, the instructions say not to overfill the kettle above a set of three holes you can see inside the kettle, but as the inside is black it's really difficult to detect this in low-level lighting. Secondly, the whistle worked brilliantly to begin with but after about a week it stopped working. Le Creuset say will send a replacement whistle free of charge.
Unlike some of the other reviews on the Volcanic Kone kettle, we find the kettle does the job - no problems with pouring and handling; it works fine with smaller amounts of water; length of time to boil is fine, bit longer than a plug-in kettle, but acceptable.

Stylish enamelled steel stove top kettle, suitable for all heat sources including ceramic hobs, which makes a pleasant change!
A shrill whistle gets your attention and this elegant kettle is so much more stylish than these dreadful 'modern day' kettles which seem to get more and more bizarre-looking and last less and less time if in a hard water area!
