Great Buy January 9, 2009 G. BACK This TV is a great buy. Firstly it is amazing value for money. Sure you can get cheaper 32" HD TV's out there but i personally always opt for Sony when choosing electrical goods.
On the outside it looks great, the finish really stands out from other TV's and makes my other Sony HD TV look almost ugly. Of course its built to Sony's high quality standards so no complaints there.
It has a great range of inputs on the back, and again they are very high quality connections.
The speakers are some of the best Ive heard on a TV, crisp and clear sound is always delivered.
Once turning it on Sony sorts out everything, finding channels/settings etc.
At first it doesn't seem clear at all, but once plugged into a HD source, even this 720p screen looks fantastic. Watching TV on it is fine, just configure settings to your own taste.
Once you have plugged in different items different results are seen. For example my ps2 looks a bit blotchy but that is what is expected using a scart source on this TV. My Wii uses the component cable and this looks clear and crisp even though it is only 420p.
There are also some amazing default settings on this TV which will bring your games, movies, etc to life. The setting "vivid" really makes a difference.
All in all this is a great TV for its price. The build quality is perfect and the number of connections and available settings on the TV is extremely useful. Its a great first step towards a HD TV.
Looks: 9/10 Inputs: 9/10 Sound: 9/10 Picture: 9/10 (where the full 720p is used)
hope the review is helpful :)
Great Buy January 9, 2009 J. S. Dua (UK) Well worth the 350 i bought this for. It did take a while to get the picture settings fine tuned but once done its fantastic. I have it hooked up to a Sony Home cinema system and can use the Bravia Theatre Sync. I can say that set up is amazing!
Best of the bunch of 32" LCD's January 9, 2009 A Real Hitman (UK) Awesome TV. Can't go wrong with Sony. Incidentally it can be turned off from the switch on top - not just standby. Just hold the button down and it turns off properly. It's got amazing sound, picture quality and looks amazing. Real quality. We use it with Sky (not HD), Sony Blu-Ray player, Wii and even terrestrial TV. All of them look amazing, thanks to the Sony auto contrast enhancer and compensator. Just can't fault it. Look way better than other friends 'supposedly great' LCD 32" TV's! Really happy with it, having had another 32" 1080P TV - which we had to send back as it was painful on the eyes, it was so blurry. Not this though - it's awesome.

Sony KDL-32V4000 - 32" Widescreen HD Ready Bravia LCD TV - With Freeview
As a very un-technical person I was very apprehensive about buying a new tv, but as my old one had white lines running across it I had no choice. I read the reviews on Amazon and felt confident I was making a good choice with this tv. I can only echo the excellent feedback this tv has received. It was so simple to set up, it really is idiot-proof, the user manual is so simple to follow. The quality of picture and sound is excellent, and I cannot believe you can get such a great tv for this money. Also so impressed with the speedy service by Amazon. Ordered this tv on New Years Eve and had it by 3rd Jan, despite estimated delivery date of 6th Jan. Could not ask for more from Sony or Amazon!!
